BIO

Meyabe is a self-taught French photographer of Senegalese origin, known for his work in street photography and the fashion industry. Fascinated by images from a young age, he turned the streets into his creative playground, capturing spontaneous scenes of everyday life and the backstage intensity of fashion shows.
In 2017, he presented the exhibition “NO FLASH,” which questioned the omnipresence of imagery and the use of flash in fashion photography. He is also the author of two acclaimed books, Life in Paris and Life in Paris — Volume 2 (with a foreword by Loïc Prigent), documenting several seasons of Paris Fashion Week through vivid, authentic images that reveal the unique energy of these events.
In 2025, Meyabe participated in the exhibition Virgil: The Code at the Grand Palais, showcasing two photographic works, as well as a limited book card published in 350 copies, which sold out within a few days.
In 2026, he is preparing a new book and an exhibition at a renowned gallery in the Marais district of Paris.
Discreet in his practice and a synesthete, the photographer embraces visual experimentation. His style is cinematic and instinctive, built on movement, blur, and imperfections to tell powerful visual stories. Influenced by Peter Lindbergh, Meyabe shares the same desire to capture raw emotion and the truth of his subjects. Like Lindbergh, he seeks to move beyond traditional fashion photography by stripping the image down to its essence, where the natural presence and soul of the models prevail over superficial perfection.
