Meyabe is a self-taught French photographer, recognized for his work in street photography and the fashion industry. Fascinated by photography from an early age, he made the streets his creative playground, capturing spontaneous life scenes and behind-the-scenes moments of fashion shows. In 2017, he presented the exhibition “NO FLASH”, which questions the omnipresence of images and the use of flash in fashion photography. Meyabe is also the author of two successful books, Life in Paris and Life in Paris Volume 2 (prefaced by Loïc Prigent), documenting several seasons of Paris Fashion Weeks through vibrant and authentic shots, revealing the unique energy of these events.
His style is characterized by a cinematic and instinctive approach, focusing on movement, blur, and imperfections to tell powerful visual stories. Influenced by Peter Lindbergh, Meyabe shares the same desire to capture raw emotion and the truth of his subjects. Like Lindbergh, he strives to go beyond the traditional codes of fashion photography by presenting stripped-down images, where the natural essence and soul of the models take precedence over superficial perfection.
